another reason Portland Rocks

I mean, where else can you go out hiking within 20 miles of the city limit, and then, intead of going home, go to an all night olde-time dance jamboree and pancake breakfast in a remote dancehall?

So here's my unlicensed event advertisement of the month:

Saturday, April 30, 2005
Dance 'Til Dawn! (meaning all night)
Got a beeyootiful dance hall lined up in Kalama, Washington!
Bring a sleeping bag!
So far we have recruited these bands and callers, with more to come: Foghorn, Government Issue Orchestra, Big Electric Cat, Uncle Wiggily, Bill Martin, Tony Mates, Caroline Oakley and Paul Silveria
Potluck dinner at 1:30am - pancake breakfast at 6am

LOCATION:162 North 3rd St., Kalama, Washington
Directions: from portland take I-5 north to exit 30 Kalama. at bottom of off-ramp turn RIGHT onto Elm Street. Go straight on Elm street through 4-way stop up hill to 3rd street (it's only 3 blocks from off-ramp to 3rd street). LEFT on 3rd street. 3rd house on the right (162 North 3rd street).
