So the question is: are you looking to vent or are you looking for validation. Do you want a valve to let the pressure off before you head back in, ready to move, work, compromise, solve? Or do you want us to rage and rage and rage together until the issue feels so overwhelming that even I am convinced it’s untenable? Do you want me to high five up and down all your indignation until it feels righteous.
Are you here to decompress, or are you here to escalate?
Do you want feedback, or do you want another voice in your head assuring you that you are right and righteous and that, indeed, the work should not be yours.
Because, I don’t make a good echo and I don’t like to be buried in anything.
